Zimní taneční den "Pleasures of the Town"

Zveme vás na naši tradiční anglickou zimní taneční akci v Brně. Letošní specialitou bude návštěva výstavy dobových vedut Brna, které mnohdy zrcadlí, jak vypadají naše akce. :-)

Program:

11:00 návštěva výstavy "Obraz města v proměnách staletí" (Hrad Špilberk)

12:00 přesun na oběd

12:30 oběd (Hostinec U Semináru)

14:00 taneční lekce (Blahoslavův dům)

17:30 odpolední čaj (Park Lane Café)

19:30 taneční večer (Blahoslavův dům)

Návštěva výstavy 11:00

Využijeme příležitosti podívat se na málokdy dostupné a krásné veduty z historie Brna - zvláště mnás zajímají ty od Franze Richtera, který zachytil město právě na sklonku empíru. :-)  Sraz účastníků bude 10:50 u pokladny Špilberka. Vstupenky lze také zakoupit předem přes Brno iD.

Oběd 12:30

Možnost se rychle naobědvat v útulné dobové restauraci blízko tanečního sálu. Rezervujte si místo přes vstupenkový formulář. 

Taneční seminář 14 – 17 hod. 
Seminář je samozřejmě vhodný i pro nezkušené tanečníky, protože tance nejsou pohybově nijak náročné. Klidně proto můžete pozvat své přátele a další zájemce o toto období. 

Zimní procházka parkem a čaj o páté 17:30

Opět zamíříme parkem Lužánky do útulného Park Lane Café. Neváhejte si přibrat vhodné dobové doplňky jak do zimního chladu (šály, klobouky, rukávníky atp.), tak do vnitřního prostoru (karty, vyšívání, knihy poesie...) 

Taneční večer 19:30 – 23:30
Nově naučené i již z dřívějška známé tance si následně užijeme večer na plese. Před každým tancem bude krátké opakování či vysvětlení, aby se mohli zapojit i ti, kteří se nezúčastnili workshopu během dne. 

 
Zvýhodněné ceny s přihlášením a platbou na účet do 16. 2. jsou za celodenní program 500,- Kč, cena jen za workshop či jen večer 300,- Kč. Přihlášení účastníci obdrží jako potvrzení platby podrobné informace mailem v týdnu před akcí.

Večerní ples si nejvíce užijeme v dobových oděvech. Výsledkem je úžasný zážitek v příjemné společnosti, jako bychom se přenesli v čase. Dobové oblečení je příjemným zpestřením, ale pokud vám není dostupné, nedělejte si starosti a přijďte i tak, tanec si přesto určitě užijete. 

Své přátele můžete zvát prostřednictvím přiloženého plakátu k akci nebo též přes FB event. V případě jakýchkoli praktických dotazů nás samozřejmě neváhejte kontaktovat.

Blahoslavův dům se nachází ve vnitrobloku na Lidické 79 - hned naproti zastávky  tramvaje č. 1 a 6 Pionýrská. Upozorňujeme, že v okolí nelze moc dobře zaparkovat - nejpohodlnější variantou je kryté (placené) parkoviště pod Janáčkovým divadlem, nebo zdarma u bývalého zimního stadionu na Drobného.

Ubytování pro přespolní účastníky: pokud se před seminářem radši v klidu vyspíte a po protančeném dnu také nechcete spěchat nocí domů, můžete využít penziony v centru Brna - např. Hostel Jacob, apod.

ENGLISH VERSION

We would like to invite you to a winter meeting with English country dances! Based on requests from many participants of the previous events, we will also offer an afternoon dance workshop to give you the opportunity to learn something new again. And you won't miss the walk through a wintery park to enjoy the afternoon tea either.  :-)  

The culmination of the day will be, as usual, a dance evening in the pleasant atmosphere of Blahoslav House at Lidická Street 79.

Programme of the day:

Exhibition visit 11:00

We will take the opportunity to look at rarely available and beautiful vedutas from the history of Brno - we are particularly interested in those by Franz Richter, who captured the city at the end of the Empire period.  Meeting of participants will be at 10:50 at the ticket office of Špilberk castle. Tickets can also be purchased in advance via Brno iD.

Lunch 12:30

An option for a quick lunch in a quaint restaurant near to the dance venue. Book your spot via the ticket form. 

Dance workshop 14:00 - 17:00

A workshop suitable for inexperienced dancers as well as anyone else who wants to exercise some more. An opportunity to learn the basics of English country danacs which will enable you to enjoy the dancing in the evening.

Winter walk in the park and afternoon tea 17:00

Once again we will head through Lužánky Park to the cosy Park Lane Café. Feel free to bring suitable period accessories for both the winter chill (scarves, hats, mittens, etc.) and the indoor space (cards, embroidery, poetry books...).

Dance evening 19:30 - 23:30

Newly learned and previously known dances will be enjoyed in the evening at the ball. There will be a short repetition or explanation before each dance so that those who did not attend the workshop during the day can join in. 

Discounted prices with registration and payment to our account by 16 February are 500,- CZK for the full day programme, the price for the workshop or evening only is 300,- CZK. Registered participants will receive detailed information by e-mail in the week before the event.

The evening ball is an opportunity to wear period attire. The result is a wonderful experience in pleasant company, as if we have been transported back in time. Period clothing is a nice touch, but if it is not available to you, or you just don't feel for it, don't worry and come anyway, you will still enjoy the dancing.

The atmosphere at the ball is friendly and relaxed and fellow dancers will always help you to fit in, however inexperienced you may be. We are all there to have a great time! :-)

Blahoslav's House is located in the courtyard at 79 Lidická Street - right opposite the tram stop of 1 and 6, Pionýrská. Please note that there is no good parking in the area - the most convenient option is the parking garage under the Janáček Theatre, or the free parking lot by the former ice rink on Drobného Street.

Accommodation for out-of-town participants: if you prefer to sleep peacefully before the seminar and do not want to rush home after a long day, you can use guesthouses in the centre of Brno - e.g. Hostel Jacob etc.
